Emergency Evacuation Planning

Emergencies occur when we least expect them. It is important to be as prepared as possible when an emergency arises on campus. Thinking ahead and planning is especially important for persons with disabilities who may need more time or assistance during an evacuation. Whether you are using crutches for a few months or have a permanent disability, it is important to get input from campus experts on an evacuation planning strategy.

The staff of Cornell's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) department will assist you with planning for an emergency evacuation from your campus office, classroom buildings or residence hall. Upon completing the Emergency Planning Request Form, an EH&S staff person will contact you to develop an emergency evacuation plan.
